Creative Nourishment Workshop
Creative Nourishment is a LIVE mindfulness-based online workshop. It is both an act of self-care and a vehicle for healing, self-discovery, and creative joy!
This is an invitation to slow down, to connect, to meet yourself and your creative genius.
In the overwhelm of the world, and perhaps now more than ever, it’s easy to feel insignificant, easy to believe your individual contribution isn’t enough, easy to get lost in the mundane of our days, easy to succumb to despair.
I’m motivated to offer this workshop because, despite it all, I deeply believe that change is possible and that creativity is healing.
Research has shown that practicing creativity can improve well-being by increasing positive emotions. Creative activities also aid in healing depression, stress, and anxiety, and can help improve your ability to express difficult emotions such as grief and sadness.
Most importantly, nourishing your creativity is the path of aliveness, and the world needs more people who have come alive.

Yes, 100%, without question!
Creativity is something we ALL have within us and is not reserved solely for professional artists. No matter your age or your life path, whether creativity is part of your career, hobby, or dream, you are welcome here!
If you’re being called to this workshop in any way, I believe it is for good reason. The capacity to be creative is within you, and if you feel a nudge to strengthen your connection to this part of you, I hope you will respond.

Mindfulness is a technique to help you connect to the present moment, relax your body and mind and reduce stress. In this workshop, we will practice a few mindfulness techniques including breathing methods, guided imagery, and other exercises to quiet mental distractions. In this relaxed state, you may find it easier to access your imagination or tap into creative flow.

Nope! If you prefer not to share, that’s totally cool. You will not be made to do anything you do not want to do in this workshop.

You bet! I myself am a neurodivergent, introverted spoonie and as such, I deeply understand and welcome you to this workshop. I take lots of care to cultivate a calm and supportive space.
Closed captions will be available throughout the workshop, and engagement via chat is also used and encouraged.
Of course, I’d love to see your face, so having your video on is encouraged when possible, but not at all required! You are welcome to turn off your video at any time during this workshop if that is more suitable for you.

You will need a device on which you can access Zoom, a pen and paper (preferably a notebook), an open mind, and a willingness to experiment and play. I recommend comfortable clothing and a space where you can focus and write. This is a brave space for you to meet yourself and nourish your own creativity.

MEET YOUR TEACHER
✸ I’m an artist, designer, writer, creative teacher. For decades, I’ve been studying psychology, spirituality, philosophy, and ancient wisdom traditions on a quest to make sense of this human experience and to understand how to make good use of my life.
✸ Like all humans, I’ve lived through trauma, grief, heartbreak, and overwhelm and I continually return to creative practice as a stabilizing and healing force in my life. The practices I share in this workshop have helped me personally and I’m excited to pass them on to you!
✸ In 2013, I left my pursuits to become an Art Therapist to study yoga and meditation and dive deeper into my research and personal art-making. I have been teaching mindfulness and creativity as a tool for healing and connecting to our true selves ever since.
